The highlights of this trip are the numerous Class I - III rapids that are fun and bouncy, but also safe for children and adults of all ages. Our expert guides can maneuver the raft to keep you as wet or dry as you want.

After a riverside break, we'll float down the river to our take out site below Pagosa Springs. Our van or bus will be waiting to take you back to the Wyndham Activities Center, just a short five minute ride.

This is an easy Class I - III (depending on water flow) white water rafting trip suitable for the whole family from ages 3 to 93. You'll go through a beautiful canyon-like area of the San Juan River with unusual rock formations and lots of pioneer and Indian history.

This tour includes a scenic drive to a lower elevation for warmer and dryer weather conditions. This is a great tour for those who want to play and swim in the water. And it's a great wildlife viewing tour with many wildlife photo opportunities for photographers.

A scenic 45 minute drive to the launch point near Juanita or Carcarus at an elevation of 6,000 feet where the weather's warmer and dryer for swimming and playing in the mountain stream.

Our guides will stop for a wonderland of fun — rapids to run in your life jacket, great rocks to skip, and even a water fight or two. Deer, wild turkeys, and waterfowl are often spotted along this journey.

We also have one person inflatable funyaks for the more adventurous, available at no extra charge, and no experience is necessary.

Bring snacks and drinks for our riverside stop. Then, we'll float on down to our take out site near Carcarus. Our car, van or bus will be waiting there for the short ride to Pagosa.

We'll float through the sandstone walls of the valley which have been sculpted by the wind and water to form an incredible variety of surrealistic shapes and colors. Bird life along the river is tremendous.

This beginner/intermediate trip is fun for all ages from 4 to 80+, and you need not be a swimmer. The whitewater here is fun and bouncy.

Midway through the trip, we'll break for lunch in the canyon. We provide rain gear to protect you from the splash or in the event of rain.

Tour departs once daily in the early morning from the Wyndham Activities Center in Pagosa Springs and returns mid-afternoon.

This is a peaceful 14-mile float on the San Juan River through Montezuma Canyon with small-to-moderate rapids (Class I - II). Lots of beautiful and historic spots along the way for exploring.

During a riverside break, you might want to hike with us up into the forest or side canyons, or take a refreshing dip in the river.

One of the highlights of the morning float is stopping at an old pioneer homestead located right on the New Mexico stateline. Ancient Pueblo Indian pottery shards can be found at some of the ruin sites along the river.

  Upper Animas & Historic Narrow Gauge Train Ride — Experienced, challenging,

This is the ultimate trip for those seeking whitewater thrills, spectacular high mountain wilderness, and a ride on a narrow gauge train from "the days of yester-year". It can be one or two days long.

This trip is not for the timid! Coordination, strength and courage are required for all participants!

This section of the Animas River is rated as one of the top ten in the world for its unbeatable combination of rugged whitewater, scenic beauty, and captivating history. On the river we'll challenge almost continuous Class IV - V rapids with some Classes II - III for a breather.

Our shuttle into or out of the Animas River Gorge from Tacoma to Durango will be the famous 1880's Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Train. On this ride, you'll view the awesome Needle Mountains from the top of 11,000 foot Molas Pass, as well as the bottom of the Upper Animas River Gorge that's 4,000 feet below.

This trip is exclusive for adults in good health who have some prior river running experience, can swim, and paddle virgorously. Everyone must be an active participant.

All guests will wear wetsuits, booties, paddling jackets, two life jackets, helmet, wool socks, wool sweater, and polypro long johns. In the high mountains expect cool nights with temperatures dipping to 35 - 45 degrees and possible showers.

Tumbling down the western slope of the Rockies at the foot of the Continental Divide, this wild little river forges a narrow path through a maze of colorful geologic formations. The 1,000 foot walls of the upper and lower box canyons will loom overhead as we carefully negotiate the exciting Class III, IV and V rapids.
