| Wayne Walls, founder of Wilderness Journeys Pagosa, Inc. and Pagosa Rafting Outfitters, Inc., has been enjoying the outdoors and connecting people with wilderness experiences since 1969.
In 1972 he was the Texas state kayaking champion, and he and his brother won the Texas marathon canoe racing championship. Wayne was also vice president of the United States Canoe Association in 1973.
Wayne has led first ascent river expeditions from the tropic jungles of Mexico up to the far north territory of Canada. His love for the outdoors has kept him very busy, and along the way, he has rafted, canoed, and kayaked in 25 states and 4 countries.
Wayne is married to Nancy Lu, and when you see Nancy with Wayne on the river or in the wilderness, you'll know why they are together. They are truly a match made in heaven.
Through the changing seasons, you'll find Wayne outdoors skiing, rafting, canoeing, hiking, or enjoying a bluegrass festival. |
